Fri, 3 November 2006 Just a quick text report.
Installed the update and it went swimmingly.
The Powerbook has no real library to speak of, so it was very quick update.
When I saw that it seemed safe and stable, I did the G5 late last night (after ApertureCast was done).
The update was quick and then on launch, you get the 'Library Upgrade' warning. I have 46,425 images and it took about 1.5 hours to update the library.
**Now, I'll know after doing more work on jobs, but it really seems snappier to me. **
Maybe it's the function of the preview updates they listed, but I don't know... just seems faster. Kind of like when you know there's a certain annoying glitch in your car, and you wait for it to happen and it's gone... I keep waiting for the slowness and it seems oddly absent.
I'll report in more later in a 'Cast, but for now, I'm pleased. I didn't have any bad bugs, so I can't report on the fixes... sorry.
Hey, and thanks to all of you folks for tuning it.. the last ApertureCast is getting record downloads (for little-old me, now for TWiT ;-) and Apple has it as a Tech, Software How-To Featured show... Huzzah!
Thanks everyone! Category: ApertureCast -- posted at: 5:42 PM Comments[0] |
